A long, refined exhibition wall in a contemporary gallery, displaying a curated row of framed contemporary artworks: minimalist line drawings, muted color field pieces, and small mixed-media works with fabric and gold leaf. Each frame is thin, matte white with museum-quality glass, aligned in a precise horizontal rhythm. The floor is pale oak, subtly reflective, leading the eye down the corridor. Cool, even track lighting from the ceiling casts soft pools of illumination on each piece without harsh shadows. Photographic realism, shot with a slightly elevated, diagonal perspective to create depth. The atmosphere is quietly luxurious and intellectual, reflecting a sophisticated contemporary art collective.
A detailed close-up of a mixed-media artwork resting on a large studio table: layers of textured handmade paper, fragments of architectural drawings, translucent vellum, and strokes of charcoal and sienna ink. Fine pigment dust and tiny paint splatters sit on the matte surface, catching the light. Around the artwork lie neatly arranged tools: a steel ruler, bone folder, and palette knife, all on a smooth plywood tabletop. Soft overcast light from a nearby industrial window creates gentle, directional illumination and subtle shadows. Photographic realism, captured with a shallow depth of field, focusing sharply on the tactile layers of the piece. The mood is thoughtful and process-oriented, suggesting the quiet craft behind contemporary art.
A refined art fair booth interior without crowds, showing a carefully arranged selection of contemporary works. On one side, a large monochrome photograph in a black frame anchors the space; opposite it, a vibrant abstract painting with gestural strokes of crimson, teal, and slate blue. A slim, brushed-steel bench sits centrally on a dark, flawless carpet, inviting quiet contemplation. Overhead, clean white canopy panels diffuse the artificial spotlighting, creating soft, even photographic lighting and subtle vignettes around each artwork. Captured in photographic realism from a slightly wide, frontal perspective, with strong vertical lines and balanced composition. The mood is polished, professional, and cosmopolitan, perfectly suited to an artists’ collective presenting at a high-end fair.

About HP9 Artists

We are a group of motivated and enthusiastic professional artists who live in postcode HP9 (Beaconsfield, Seer Green or Jordans in Buckinghamshire, UK). We share a vision: to engage more with each other and with local art-lovers, and to show the public more of the talent hidden away in home studios, cabins, attic rooms and home workshops. We invite people to question, observe, get involved, and learn more about our creative practices. We also welcome enquiries from other local artists who wish to join the group (see Contact tab).

We aim to organise several of our own events a year – these might include a local Art Trail and a weekend Art Fair in September – and many of our artists regularly take part in Bucks Art Week.

Previous events

HP9 Art Fair 2025

12-14 September 2025

A lovely local event hosted at the Town Hall in September to coincide with the Town Council’s ‘Summer on the Green’ community event. Thirteen local artists exhibited high quality work in the heart of Beaconsfield New Town. This was a superb location (free entry and 2h free parking) and will be taking place again in September 2026.

HP9 ART TRAIL 2025

Sat/Sun 17th-18th May, 2025

Our second ever HP9 Art Trail took place in May 2025 when nine artists in HP9 opened their studios for two days. Maps were available online and in many local shops and venues.

We were delighted to invite the public to follow the Art Trail route and to see behind the scenes of local artists. The event was a huge success, with visitors commenting what a lovely event it had been and how they had enjoyed meeting artists in situ, seeing their creativity in their own studio spaces and enjoying a relaxed welcoming atmosphere.

For the artists an open studio event is a great opportunity to show off the results of our endeavours, and to meet interesting people. Both Art Trails have been really well received and each year we try to have some new faces.
What each artist shows varies from painting – figurative, landscape, portrait and nature-inspired work – to ceramics, sculpture and jewellery. Most work is for sale so a fabulous opportunity to pick up some unique gifts.
